SenSura Mio Concave is the first product designed for people with an outward-facing peristomal area. The convex, star-shaped skin plate provides a good fit for a variety of curves, such as large or round bellies, obesity, abdominal rolls and parastomal hernia. The 5 star-shaped ends of the skin plate conform to curves without wrinkling. The stability ring provides support directly around the stoma, so that the stoma receives proper support and the ostomate wearer knows where to apply pressure when applying. Finally, the elastic skin plate with Flex zones follows the body’s movements. The combination of all these benefits increases the contact surface between the skin plate and the peristomal skin for optimal adhesion of the ostomy material.
