It also helps with coughs and sore throats caused by acid reflux, and can be used by most grown-ups and children aged 12+ years. The medicine contains active ingredients including potassium hydrogen carbonate and sodium alginate, which function as reflux suppressants.

You shouldn't take it if you are not feeling any symptoms. Heartburn symptoms can be triggered by certain foods so it may not always be required to take Gaviscon Advanced Liquid
