Altriabak is a drug in the form of eye drops used to treat the symptoms of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis. The most common symptoms of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis are intense itching of both eyes combined with redness, swelling, excessive tears, conjunctival edema and sensitivity to light.
How to use
The recommended dosage is one drop twice daily (morning and evening) into the affected eye or eyes. This medicine is intended for administration into the eye (ocular use). Before first use, discard the first 5 drops. Wash your hands thoroughly before using. Drip one drop into the eye(s) while looking up and gently pulling the lower eyelid down. Close the eyelid and gently press the inner corner of the eye with your index finger for 1-2 minutes. This will help prevent the medicine from spreading into the rest of your body. Close the bottle after use.
Composition
The active ingredient in Altriabak is ketotifen. Each ml contains 0.25 mg of ketotifen. The other substances in this medicine are glycerol, sodium hydroxide (pH adjustment), water for injections.
Warnings
If you need to use other eye drops in addition to Altriabak, wait at least 5 minutes between the use of each product. Altriabak may potentiate the effect of alcohol. Preferably avoid using Altriabac during pregnancy. Altriabak may be used if you are breastfeeding. This medicine may cause blurred vision or drowsiness. If this happens to you, you should wait to drive or operate machinery until these symptoms disappear. Do not use if you are allergic to ketotifen or any of the other ingredients.
