Properties

BAPSCARCARE T silicone dressings flatten, smooth and thin scars and reduce symptoms (persistent redness, pulling of the scar, itching, restriction of movement at joints, discomfort and cosmetic concerns). The dressing provides a covering and occlusive environment on top of the skin, creating increased hydration of the skin (epidermis). The increased hydration accelerates the repair of damaged scar skin and reduces functional concerns. Due to the flexibility of BAPSCARCARE T, the adhesive bandage remains securely in place on all areas of the body to be treated. BAPSCARCARE T is suitable when used under clothing.

Use instructions

• Building up therapy: it is recommended to build up the use of the therapy to 24 hours a day for the first week. This serves to gradually acclimatize the skin to the therapy. For best results, it is preferable to wear the silicone dressings as long as possible per day.
• Before use: clean the skin on and around the scar well and allow to dry. Remove the product from the packaging. If necessary, the silicone bandage can be cut to the correct size. Make sure the entire scar with about 2 cm of the healthy skin around the scar is covered with the silicone dressing. Removing any hair around the scar site beforehand will improve the adhesive strength of the silicone bandage which promotes durability.
• Applying: remove the first part of the silicone bandage’s protective film and gently apply the adhesive silicone bandage at the beginning of the scar. Remove the second part of the protective film and apply the next part of the silicone dressing to the scar. Depending on the size of the silicone dressing, the above should be repeated until the entire silicone dressing is applied.
• The BAPSCARCARE T silicone dressing is for single use and can be left on the scar for several days. Replace the silicone dressing with a new silicone dressing at the time the adhesive strength deteriorates significantly.

Recommendations

• Each package of BAPSCARCARE T contains 10 silicone dressings, each of which remains usable for 5 to a maximum of 7 days. A full box of BAPSCARCARE T is good for 5 to 8 weeks of therapy.
• Consult a physician for skin irritations or skin problems.
• The silicone dressing is for external use only.
• Use the silicone dressing only on closed skin and never on open wounds.
