It supports the production of red blood cells and helps prevent fatigue. BariNutrics Iron is a chewable tablet based on iron bisglycinate, an easily absorbed form of iron that is also well-tolerated in the stomach and intestines. Iron in BariNutrics Iron is present in the form of heme iron (Fe++). This is the only form that is absorbed by the body. In plant-based foods, iron occurs as Fe+++ and thus must first be converted into heme iron in the body. This happens in an acidic environment, but since the stomach contents are less acidic after surgery, this process does not work properly.
