Bibrocathol-POS 20 mg/g Eye Ointment | 5 g

Bibrocathol-POS 20 mg/g is a disinfecting, astringent and secretion-inhibiting eye ointment. Bibrocathol-POS 20 mg/g is used in chronic (prolonged) inflammation of the eyelid margin in adults that is not caused by bacteria.

Directions for use

Always use this medicine exactly as stated in this package insert or as told to you by your doctor or pharmacist. The recommended dosage is one strip of about 0.5 cm in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye 3 to 5 times daily for up to 14 days.

Dosage

• Adults: 3 to 5 times daily one strip of about 0.5 cm in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye for up to 14 days.
• Children 6 years of age and older: one strip of approximately 0.5 cm in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye 3 times daily for up to 10 days.

Composition

The active substance in this medicine is bibrocathol 20 mg/g. The other substances in this medicine are white petroleum jelly, liquid kerosene and wool grease.

Warnings

Check with your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine. Wool fat may cause local skin reactions (e.g., contact dermatitis). Do not wear contact lenses while using Bibrocathol-POS 20 mg/g.

Possible side effects

Like any medicine, Bibrocathol-POS 20 mg/g Eye Ointment can have side effects. Not everyone experiences them. Side effects may include eye and eyelid irritation, hypersensitivity, allergy, erythema, pruritus, rash.

Storage instructions

Store this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use this medicine after the expiration date. Store below 30 °C. Shelf life after opening: Do not use for more than 4 weeks after first opening.
