Properties
Biotona Mild Kukicha is green tea made from the (roasted) stems and veins of the tea leaf. The tea has a sweet, mild and characterful taste.
- Traditionally harvested in early May (first harvest).
- Either for children or adults.
How to use
- Japanese green infusion teas are prepared by infusing processed whole tea leaves in hot water. The amount of tea and water used, as well as the temperature of the water and infusion time are different depending on which tea you choose. It is important to choose soft (slightly mineralized) water and to observe the temperature of the water. After all, if you choose a higher temperature, the tea will taste extra bitter, unless of course you want it to.
- For an ultimate and extended taste experience, a second (possibly third) infusion can also be chosen. In the first infusion, the rolled tea leaves gradually open and release the first flavors. In a second infusion, they are already open and then release their other flavors. To do this, the same amount of water at approximately the same temperature is added to the already infused (and poured/ decanted) tea leaves. Depending on personal preference, either the same or a slightly shorter infusion time can be chosen for this purpose. Let personal taste and preference guide you and experiment to the fullest with this green gold!
