Bithiol 10% | 22 g

Bithiol 10% by Qualiphar is an ointment with ichtammol for the treatment of skin conditions. The ointment is indicated as:

• An adjunctive treatment for recurrent skin condition with scaly, dry skin rashes (psoriasis), chronic eczema and skin inflammations associated with excessive sebum secretion (sebum secretion).
• An accreting agent for boils (furuncles) and pustules (pustulae).

How to use

• Apply the ointment 2 to 3 times a day in a thin layer to the area to be treated.
• Cover the area with a sterile gauze.
• Any stains on clothing can be removed with soap and water.
• Do not use Bithiol 10% for more than 3 weeks consecutively without consulting a physician.

Composition

The active substance in Bithiol 10% is ichtammol 10 g/100 g. The other substances in this medicine are: petroleum jelly and wool grease (lanolin).

Warnings

Bithiol 10% should not be used in allergic skin conditions, severe skin lesions, such as large, open wounds or burns, and in neonates and premature infants. Contact with eyes, mucous membranes or open wounds should be avoided. If you are also taking other medicines, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Bithiol 10% may cause side effects. These may be an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients or mild irritation at the treated site, rash. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you experience any side effects.

How to store

You should store Bithiol 10% out of the sight and reach of children. Store it below 25°C and do not use it after the expiration date.
