Braun is a solution for the supplementation of calcium in patients with abnormally low blood calcium levels (hypocalcemia) who exhibit acute symptoms, such as decreased skin sensations (numbness, itching, burning sensations), convulsive muscle spasm (tetany), cramping of the hands and feet, colic, muscle weakness and confusion, possibly degenerating into convulsions and cardiac symptoms (e.g., irregular heartbeat and even acute heart failure).
