Features
This high-speed digital fever thermometer is designed to measure the temperature of the human body under the tongue, under the armpit or rectally.
Use instructions
Oral use
The mouth should remain closed for up to 5 minutes before taking the temperature.
Place the lens securely under the tongue. Tell children not to bite the lens.
Opening the mouth or placing the lens incorrectly may cause a longer measurement time.
The highest temperature will be reached in about 20 seconds.
Use under the armpit
Before taking an accurate temperature reading, dry the armpit with a towel. Keep the armpit closed for several minutes before inserting the thermometer. Do not keep the armpit open for too long before inserting the thermometer. Place the thermometer under the armpit and press your upper arm lightly against the body. Make sure the lens is completely inside the armpit and do not open the armpit during the measurement. For an accurate reading, it is recommended to wait 90 seconds before reading the temperature.
Rectal use
Place the lens of the thermometer gently into the rectum. Do not force the lens if resistance occurs.
Recommendations
For babies and small children in particular, we also recommend the Braun ThermoScan ear thermometer for quick, easy and accurate readings. The ear is an excellent place to measure body temperature because the eardrum shares the same blood supply as the temperature control center in the brain. The Braun ThermoScan Ear Thermometer measures the infrared heat given off by the eardrum and surrounding tissue within seconds.
This thermometer is not intended to replace a visit to your doctor.
