Cacit Vitamin D3 1000 mg/880 is a medication for patients with established or high risk for combined vitamin D and calcium deficiencies.

How to use

• Cacit Vitamin D3 1000/880 is intended for oral use.
• The effervescent powder should be dissolved in a large glass of water. Stir again well and then immediately drink the glass empty. A slight precipitate may remain in the glass.
• Timing: Cacit Vitamin D3 1000/880 should preferably be drunk in the evening before bedtime.

Composition

The active ingredients are calcium carbonate 2500 mg (= 1000 mg elemental calcium) and cholecalciferol concentrate 880 IU (= 22µg vitamin D3). Other ingredients are anhydrous citric acid, maleic acid, gluconolactone, maltodextrin, sodium cyclamate, sodium saccharinate, lemon flavoring (contains sorbitol, manitol, d-glucono-lactone, dextrin, gum arabic, lemon oil),
rice starch, potassium carbonate, α-tocopherol, hydrogenated soybean oil, gelatin, sucrose, corn starch.

Warnings

Do not use Cacit Vitamin D3 if you are allergic to any of the substances in this medicine, have a disease and/or condition that has resulted in high levels of calcium in your urine (hypercalciuria) or blood (hypercalcemia), have kidney stones, or have high levels of vitamin D in your blood (hypervitaminosis D).

Possible side effects

Like any medicine, Cacit Vitamin D3 can have side effects. You may develop an allergic reaction. If you develop a rash, itching, difficulty breathing or swelling of the face, lips, throat or tongue, stop taking the medicine immediately and seek urgent medical attention.
