Known as a progesterone-only pill or a mini pill, Cerelle is for women unable to use combined contraceptive pills. If you miss a dose of this progestogen-only pill, you should take it as soon as you remember. Missing one dose but taking it within one day means you will still be protected from pregnancy. If you miss two consecutive doses of this mini pill, you may not be protected from conception, so you should consider using other methods of protection such as condoms.
If possible, begin taking the mini pill on the first day of your period. If you begin taking the mini pill in the first five days of your cycle, you will be immediately protected from pregnancy. If you begin later in your cycle, you will need to use other methods of protection like condoms.
