Cleen Enema Pediatric | 66 ml

Cleen Enema Pediatric is a solution for rectal use (administration along the anus). It is a laxative that promotes bowel movement. Cleen Enema Pediatric contains phosphates that cause more water to enter the bowel. As a result, bowel movements become softer. Cleen Enema Pediatric is used in:

• The symptomatic treatment of constipation (constipation) whose cause is located in the lower part of the bowel.
• The preparation for surgical procedures and endoscopic examination of the rectum (examination of the rectum in which a flexible tube is inserted through the anus).
• Preparation for childbirth (in cases of persistent constipation).

Directions for use

Always administer Cleen Enema Pediatric rectally (through the anus). The recommended dose for children 2 years to 12 years old is 1 66-ml bottle of Cleen Enema Pediatric (provides a 59-ml dose) not more than once a day or as directed by your doctor. Do not administer this medicine to children under 2 years of age.

Composition

The active ingredients in Cleen Enema Pediatric are sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate and disodium dihydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate. The other substances are benzalkonium chloride, disodium deetate and purified water. The lubricant on the cannula is white soft kerosene.

Warnings

Cleen Enema Pediatric should not be used if you are allergic to any of the substances in this medicine, if you suffer from megacolon (enlargement of the colon), bowel obstruction or incomplete opening of the anus or rectum, Hirschprung’s disease (blockage of the colon), suspected blockage of the colon, paralytic ileus (disturbed bowel movement), appendicitis (blind bowel inflammation), a punctured or damaged bowel, inflammatory bowel disease (such as Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis), blood of indistinct origin in the stool, renal problems, congestive heart failure, stomach pain and pain in the lower abdomen, in children under 2 years of age, when co-administered with other sodium phosphate-containing preparations including sodium phosphate oral solution or tablets.

The most common side effects of Cleen Enema Pediatric are hypersensitivity, dehydration, excess phosphate or sodium or potassium or calcium deficiency in the body, blood acidity too low, muscle cramps and tremors, painful or distended abdomen, nausea or vomiting, pain at the level of the stomach, intestines or anus, uncomfortable, itchy, burning or painful feeling at the anus, blisters, diarrhea, chills.

Storage instructions

Store Cleen Enema Pediatric at room temperature (15-25°C). Do not use Cleen Enema Pediatric after the expiration date. Discard the vial after use.
