Combophen 500 mg/150 mg | 16 tablets

Combophen contains two active ingredients: paracetamol (an analgesic and fever reducer) and ibuprofen (a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug). This combination provides powerful analgesia for mild to moderate pain.

Indication

Combophen is suitable for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain in adults, such as:

• Headache.
• Muscle pain.
• Menstrual pain.
• Toothache.

Usage

Take Combophen with a full glass of water. The tablet may be broken to facilitate swallowing, but not divided into equal doses.

Dosage

• Adults (>50 kg): 1 to 2 tablets every 6 hours, up to 6 tablets per 24 hours.
• Do not use in adults <50 kg without medical advice.
• Use Combophen for a maximum of 3 days without consulting a physician.

Composition

The active ingredients in Combophen are 500 mg of acetaminophen and 150 mg of ibuprofen per tablet. The other ingredients are: for the tablet core: corn starch, pregelatinized corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium croscarmellose, magnesium stearate, talc; and for the tablet coating: Opadry White (contains hypromellose (E464), lactose monohydrate, titanium dioxide (E171), macrogol/PEG 4000, and sodium citrate (E331)) and talc.

Warnings

• Do not Combophen use during the last 3 months of pregnancy.
• Do not use in children under 18 years of age.
• Avoid alcohol consumption during treatment.

Side effects

Like any medicine, Combophen can have side effects, although not everyone gets them. Possible side effects include stomach upset, skin rash, dizziness, liver or kidney problems. Severe skin reactions are rare but possible. If any side effect becomes serious or if you experience any side effect not listed in this leaflet, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
