Properties

Moisturizing and absorbent hydrogel for rapid and safe cleansing of dry necrotic wounds or moderately exudative fibrinous wounds.

• Hydrogels create a moist wound environment by releasing and/or absorbing moisture (Rehydration/Absorption).
• Contains CMC and calcium alginate for fast, safe and complete wound cleansing and absorption of excess exudate.
• Protects wound edges thanks to high cohesive strength (does not leak).
• Hypoallergenic: unlike other gels, does not contain propylene glycol.

Use instructions

• Remove both the wrapper and the cap of the gel.
• Compress the accordion tube with one hand and apply the desired amount into the wound.
• Cover with a hydrocolloid dressing of desired size.

Recommendations

• Purilon Gel facilitates the removal of necrotic tissue (debridement) during the cleansing phase.
• The wound may appear larger at the first dressing change.
