D-Cure 25,000 I.E. | 12 ampoules

D-Cure 25,000 I.E. (12 ampoules) is a drug containing vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) and is indicated in the following cases:

• Prevention of rickets and osteomalacia in children and adults.
• Prevention of rickets in premature infants.
• Prevention of vitamin D deficiency in children and adults at known risk.
• Prevention of osteoporosis.
• Insufficient supply of vitamin D: obstruction of the bile ducts, elderly persons (bedridden or getting out little), cirrhosis, partial or complete removal of the stomach, increase in fat in the stool.
• Treatment and/or prophylaxis of vitamin D deficiency: growth, pregnancy, the period of lactation and the intake of anticonvulsants.
• Prevention of vitamin D deficiency in children and adults with malabsorption.
• Treatment of rickets and osteomalacia in children and adults.
• Disease states due to secretory disorders of the parathyroid glands of unknown, surgical or familial origin (especially in women).

Instructions for use and dosage

Warnings

Before taking this medicine, contact your doctor or pharmacist if you:

• Have an allergy to any of the substances in this medicine.
• Have hypercalcemia (increased calcium concentration in the blood) or hypercalciuria (increased calcium concentration in the urine).
• Have severe kidney insufficiency.

Possible side effects

Like any other medicine, D-Cure 25,000 I.E. can have side effects. Possible side effects include:

• Increased calcium levels in blood and urine.
• Constipation, flatulence, nausea, abdominal pain, stomach pain, diarrhea.
• Itching, rash.
