Dafalgan Instant Forte 1g Red Fruit contains paracetamol: an analgesic (analgesic) and an antipyretic (antipyretic). It is indicated for symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and/or fever in adults and adolescents weighing 50 kg or more (older than 15 years).

How to use

Sprinkle the contents of the sachet directly on the tongue, allow to dissolve and swallow without water. Do not chew. Always use the lowest effective dose and not longer than necessary.

Dosage

• For adults and adolescents ≥50 kg (older than 15 years), 1 sachet (1000 mg) at least every 4 hours. Maximum 3000 mg (3 sachets) per day.

Warning: higher doses may damage the liver. In case of overdose, contact your doctor or the Poison Control Center (070/245.245) immediately.

Composition

The active substance in Dafalgan Instant Forte is paracetamol. The other substances in this medicine are: Basic butyl methacrylate copolymer, polyacrylate dispersion 30%, hydrophobic colloidal silicon, mannitol (E421), crospovidone, sodium benzoate (E211), sucralose (E955), red fruit flavor (contains traces of benzyl alcohol).

Warnings

Do not use Dafalgan Instant Forte if you are allergic to paracetamol or any of its excipients, or if you have severe liver disease. Use extra caution if you have liver or kidney problems, Gilbert’s syndrome, chronic alcohol use, malnutrition or dehydration. Contact a doctor immediately with symptoms of metabolic acidosis (rapid breathing, nausea, drowsiness).

Like any medicine, Dafalgan Instant Forte can cause side effects, including skin rashes, redness, itching, abdominal pain, diarrhea, severe skin reactions, blood test abnormalities, liver function disorders, severe allergic reaction, respiratory problems, elevated liver enzymes, and metabolic acidosis.
