Properties

Dermatix Silicone Sheet Clear are self-adhesive sheets used to reduce or prevent hypertrophic scars and keloids. The sheets have an outer surface with a silky-soft fabric for optimal wearing comfort and ease of use under clothing.

How to use

• Clean the area that needs to be treated with water and a mild soap and dry the skin. Remove the silicone sheet from the package. If necessary, use scissors to cut the sheets to size. The sheet should be slightly larger than the scar.
• Remove the protective paper layer and save it for later. Place the silicone sheet with the “sticky side” down, directly on the scarred area. Leave the sheet in place for at least 12 hours and up to 23 hours a day.
• Clean the scar and both sides of the silicone sheet at least once a day with water and a mild soap. Do not use moisturizing soap or soap containing lotion or oil. A regular basic soap is recommended. Rinse the sheet thoroughly to remove all soap residue. Allow the sheet to air dry or pat it dry with a lint-free towel before reapplying it. Store the sheet on the protective paper layer when not in use.

Recommendations

• The recommended minimum duration of the treatment is three months. Larger scars may require longer treatment. Continue to use Dermatix for as long as you benefit from it.
• Do not use if the package is damaged or opened.
• Use only on closed wounds.
• Do not bring into contact with mucous membranes.
• Do not apply too close to the eyes.
• Do not use creams, lotions or ointments with this product. These agents may affect the performance of the product and/or cause skin irritation.
