The Desogestrel pill is a progestogen-only pill (or mini pill) used to prevent pregnancy. Unlike combined oral contraceptive pills containing progestogen and oestrogen, Desogestrel only contains progestogen. It keeps your body’s levels of progesterone at a more elevated, constant level. Women who can’t use combined pills can use Desogestrel. It contains 75 micrograms of desogestrel.
