Diclotopic 1% Gel | 60 g

Diclotopic contains the active ingredient diclofenac epolamine, a drug called a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. Diclotopic Gel is used for the local symptomatic relief of pain and inflammation from post-trauma injuries such as bruises, sprains and tendonitis.

How to use

Follow these instructions when using Diclotopic Gel:

• Only intended for use on the skin in adults and adolescents over 15 years of age.
• Depending on the size of the affected area to be treated, 2-4 g of gel should be applied 2-4 times daily for up to two weeks.
• After application, hands should be washed unless they are just the area to be treated.
• Diclotopic Gel can be used with non-sealing dressings, but should not be used with an airtight closing dressing.

Composition

100 g of gel contains 1 g of sodium diclofenac as diclofenac epolamine. The other substances in Diclotopic are soy lecithin, macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate, macrogolstearate, carbomer, sodium hydroxide, isopropyl alcohol, fragrance (Floral PH-Y with amylcinnamal, amylcinnamyl alcohol, benzyl alcohol, benzyl benzoate, benzyl salicylate, cinnamal, cinnamyl alcohol, citral, citronellol, d-limonene, eugenol, farnesol, geraniol, hexylcinnamaldehyde, hydroxycitronellal, hydroxycitronellal linalool, purified water.

Warnings

Do not use Diclotopic Gel if you are allergic to diclofenac, aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) or another nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Also do not use if you have asthma, breathing problems, hives or a cold (acute rhinitis) after taking aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) or other NSAIDs. Do not use on damaged skin including bearing or infected surfaces, eczema, burns or wounds. Do not use from the beginning of the third trimester of pregnancy. Do not use on children or adolescents under 15 years of age. Do not use if you are allergic to peanuts or soy, as it contains soybean oil.

Possible side effects

Like any medicine, Diclotopic Gel can have side effects, although not everyone gets them.

• Common side effects include: rash, eczema, redness of the skin (erythema), inflammation of the skin (dermatitis, including allergic and contact dermatitis), itching (pruritus).
• More rare side effects include: blistering (bullous dermatitis), hypersensitivity (including hives), angioneurotic edema, skin condition with suppuration, asthma, becoming hypersensitive to light (reaction after exposure to sunlight or solarium light).

Storage instructions

Store Diclotopic out of the sight and reach of children. There are no special storage conditions for this medicine. Do not use this medicine after the expiration date. This can be found on the package, tube or container. There it says one month and one year. Once the tube is opened, Diclotopic 1% Gel should be used within 9 months.
