Sterile ointment compresses consisting of a wide-mesh air- and exudate-permeable cotton fabric. They are used for general wound care, in particular to keep wound edges and surfaces soft and supple, e.g. for large abrasions or cuts, for burns or scalds, in plastic and cosmetic surgery, for nail extractions and phimosis operations, for covering the donor skin in skin grafts and for the fixation of skin grafts.
- Impregnated with a neutral ointment. The thick ointment layer does not wash away, even with strong exudation.
- Easily cut to size.
- Ideal in dermatology and for patients with sensitive skin or hypersensitivity to drugs.
