This gel provides very high uv protection for hypersensitive skin. The unique technology based on Fernblock® combined with carefully chosen uv-filters protects the skin and helps to prevent damage caused by sun exposure: spots, sunburn, reduction of the skin’s natural resistance, skin aging and even skin cancer. The gel texture is ideal for normal to oily skin and absorbs quickly and streak-free.
Active Ingredients
Fernblock owes its protective properties to Polypodium leucotomos, a tropical fern species from Central America that has evolved from life underwater to life on land by developing self-protective repair mechanisms:
- Protects against solar erythema: Fernblock increases the resistance of skin and mucous membranes to the sun and reinforces the skin’s own protection against sunburn caused by UVB.
- Antioxidant properties and anti-aging properties: an innovative combination of uv filters and Fernblock protects the skin against free radicals that can damage skin architecture. As a result, the skin dries out less and wrinkles and spots are less likely to appear.
- DNA protection and repair: a sun overdose is pernicious for the skin, as certain sun rays can affect our genetic material. In some cases, the consequences are very serious (skin cancer). Fernblock helps reduce such damage and repair the pernicious effects of UV-B rays.
- Imune system protection: UV rays weaken the skin’s immune defenses. After oral administration, Fernblock improves skin cells’ ability to defend themselves against aggressive environmental factors.
