Hydrofilm Transparent Film Dressing 6 x 7 cm is a self-adhesive, transparent wound dressing made of semipermeable polyurethane film for safe wound protection. The dressing is impermeable to bacteria and water contains a hypoallergenic adhesive and is removable without wound irritation. It is used:
- For protection against secondary infections and mechanical irritations in dry, primary healing wounds.
- In nearly healed epithelial wounds.
- In catheter and cannula fixation.
- For covering gel-forming calcium alginate dressings, such as Sorbalgon.
Do not apply as a direct wound cover in clinically infected, bleeding or heavily securing wounds.
