To restore and maintain healthy eyes, the surface of the eye – cornea and conjunctiva – must be constantly moist. Under normal circumstances, this is provided by our natural tear film. However, it can happen that there is not enough tear fluid or its composition is disturbed. Then the eye reacts with hyperemia, itching, a burning sensation or the feeling that something is inside. The eyes tire more quickly. Those symptoms of insufficient supply of natural tear fluid can occur in too dry or air-conditioned environments, as well as as as a result of medical treatment or simply because of age. The epithelial cells of the cornea and conjunctiva are constantly being renewed, and that process occurs best in a moist environment. Therefore, after surgical procedures it is also important that the surface of the eye is sufficiently moisturized so that wound healing is optimal.

In all such cases it is sensible to use HYLO CARE for intensive moisturization of the eye, in order to restore the natural balance of lubrication and wetting of the eye. HYLO CARE contains the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the eye, as well as in other parts of the body. Sodium hyaluronate has the special property of forming an even and lasting lubricating film on the eye surface, without being quickly washed away. This prolongs the moisturizing effect without reducing vision. Therefore, HYLO CARE can be dripped in during the day without any problems when eye ointments cannot be used due to their greasy consistency because they obscure vision.

In addition, HYLO CARE contains dexpanthenol which belongs to the large group of B vitamins. With that ingredient, intensive recovery of the eye is ensured and the lubricating properties of sodium hyaluronate are supported. Furthermore, dexpanthenol helps in the wound healing process. As a result, not only small erosions on the eye surface heal faster, but also wounds caused by surgical procedures. Thus, HYLO CARE not only ensures an adequate supply of moisture to the eye, but at the same time also an improved recovery of corneal and conjunctival epithelium.
