Ibuprofen AB 200 mg | 24 tablets

Ibuprofen AB belongs to the group of NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). It has analgesic, fever-reducing and anti-inflammatory effects. It is used for the short-term treatment of pain and fever.

Indications

• Treatment of mild to moderate pain, including:
• Headaches and migraines
• Toothache
• Menstrual pain
• Muscle pain and joint pain
• Back pain
• Post-operative pain
• Treatment of fever in flu and colds

How to use

Take this medicine with a glass of water, preferably after a meal.

Mild to moderate pain and fever

Adults and adolescents weighing ≥ 40 kg (12 years and older): 200 mg: 1–2 tablets as a single dose or 3–4 times a day at 6-hour intervals, as needed. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 6 tablets (1,200 mg).

Migraine headaches

Adults and adolescents weighing ≥ 40 kg (12 years and older): 200 mg: 2 tablets as a single dose; if necessary, 2 tablets at 6-hour intervals. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 6 tablets (1,200 mg).

Menstrual pain

Adults and adolescents weighing ≥ 40 kg (12 years and older): 200 mg: 1–2 tablets 1–3 times daily at 4–6-hour intervals, if necessary. The maximum daily dose must not exceed 6 tablets (1,200 mg).

Composition

The active ingredient in this medication is ibuprofen. Each Ibuprofen AB 200 mg film-coated tablet contains 200 mg of ibuprofen. The other ingredients in this medicine are: Tablet core: corn starch, pregelatinized starch (corn starch), anhydrous colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, talc, stearic acid. Film coating: talc (E553b), polyvinyl alcohol, macrogol 3350 (E1521), titanium dioxide (E171).

Side effects

• Common (1-10%): stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea, indigestion, headache, dizziness.
• Uncommon (0.1-1%): skin rash, itching, blurred vision, tinnitus, increased blood pressure.
• Rare (0.01-0.1%): stomach ulcers, internal bleeding, liver problems, kidney problems.
• Very rarely (<0.01%): severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), severe skin reactions (Stevens-Johnson syndrome), liver failure, heart attack.
