Iso-Betadine Dermicum 10% is a preparation for external use to disinfect the skin and mucous membranes. Iso-Betadine Dermicum 10% contains iodine (povidone-iodine), an antiseptic that kills microbes (bacteria, viruses, fungi) and prevents infections, and is indicated for the prevention and treatment of skin and mucous membrane infections caused by bacteria, fungi or viruses, such as:
- Skin infections such as boils, inflammation and redness, sweat pimples, impetigo, acne, pimples under skin folds, foot fungus, herpes.
- Disinfection of wounds, bedsores and leg ulcers.
- Treatment of burns.
- Disinfection of the skin before an injection, puncture or transfusion.
