Adults and children aged 16 or over can take a maximum of two capsules four to six hours apart. However, you should never exceed eight tablets in 24 hours. Children aged 12 to 15 can take Lemsip medicine, but the recommended dose is one capsule every four to six hours.
Lemsip contains powerful blocked nose ingredients and can clear the chest of mucus. These ingredients can potentially cause allergic reactions, and their strength also means you should avoid taking other paracetamol products.
Pregnant or breastfeeding women should find an alternative medication. If you have diabetes mellitus, an overactive thyroid and high blood pressure, avoid taking this medicine as it could worsen your symptoms.
