Lemsip comes in lemon-flavoured sachets, which dissolve in hot water like other hot beverages. Add some of your usual sweetener or enjoy the medicine alone. You can have one sachet every four to six hours, but don't consume more than four daily.

This medicine is only suitable for adults and children aged 12 and over. People with an overactive thyroid, a history of heart disease or high blood pressure should also avoid Lemsip. Please consult your doctor if you're pregnant, breastfeeding or have taken certain monoamine oxidase inhibitors in the past two weeks.

Lemsip is a powerful medicine providing symptomatic relief for a blocked nose and other symptoms of common colds. However, if you still have symptoms after a few days of use, you should see a GP, as chesty coughs can be a sign of infections that require antibiotics.
