Lemsip Max Cold and Flu Blackcurrant Flavour Sachets help combat the symptoms associated with the common cold and flu (influenza), such as painful throats, body aches and pains, and headaches. If symptoms persist for more than three days, consult your GP or one of our pharmacists.
These cold-flu relief sachets contain a decongestant called phenylephrine which reduces a blocked nose by causing the blood vessels in the linings of the sinuses and nasal passageways to contract. It lowers blood flow into the linings of the sinuses and nose, which diminishes stuffiness and lessens mucus production.
Avoid mixing boiling water with the contents of one of these blackcurrant-flavoured sachets, as doing so can increase the chance of scalding. The Lemsip powder sachets are effervescent, and the volume of water may suddenly increase, causing the medicine to spill.
