Livostin 0.5 mg/ml Eye Drops | 4 ml

Livostin Eye Drops contain levocabastin, an agent for allergic eye symptoms. These eye drops are intended for rapid and long-term relief of inflammation of the eyes due to hypersensitivity, such as hay fever. These symptoms can occur in certain seasons as well as year-round.

Indication

Livostin Eye Drops are used to treat:

• Allergic inflammation of the eyes.
• Hay fever.

How to use

• The recommended dose is 1 drop per eye, 2 times a day.
• For severe symptoms, you can administer 1 drop per eye 3 to 4 times a day.
• Shake the bottle well before each use.
• Do not use the eye drops for more than 1 month after the first opening of the bottle.
• Avoid contact of the bottle with the eyes to prevent contamination.

Composition

The active substance in Livostin Eye Drops is levocabastin hydrochloride (0.5 mg per ml). The other substances in this drug are benzalkonium chloride, propylene glycol, polysorbate 80, disodium monohydrogen phosphate anhydrous, sodium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate, disodium edetate, hypromellose and water for injections.

Warnings

Livostin Eye Drops are for use only for eye infections due to allergy (hypersensitivity) and not for other eye infections or conditions. If you have kidney disease, you should avoid chronic use of Livostin Eye Drops because the drug is excreted primarily through the kidneys.

Possible side effects

The following side effects can become serious when using Livostin Eye Drops: swelling of the eye, swelling of the eyelid, accumulation of blood in the eye, a severe hypersensitivity reaction that may occur soon after administration and can be recognized by hives, itching, heat swelling, fainting, and labored breathing, as well as other possible symptoms (anaphylaxis), a special form of allergic reaction characterized by swelling of the lips, tongue, and eyelids, hives and shortness of breath (angioneurotic edema), and hypersensitivity.
