The Logynon ED contraceptive pill stops ovulation, as well as alleviating painful or heavy periods, and treats severe acne. It’s suitable for nearly all women.

If you accidentally forget to take your daily Logynon ED contraceptive, you need to take it as soon as you remember. If you take the dose within one day it will still protect you from pregnancy. Should you miss two doses consecutively you may not be protected from pregnancy, so you should use alternative contraceptive methods, such as condoms.
You should aim to start taking the pill on the first day of your period. Alternatively, if you start taking the pill within the first 5 days of your cycle you will be protected from pregnancy straight away. If you start taking the pill later in your menstrual cycle, then you will need to allow the medication to catch up on your cycle, so you will need to use other methods of contraception.
Generally, you should wait at least 6 weeks after giving birth before using certain forms of hormonal contraception. If you are currently breastfeeding you should consult your doctor or speak to the Pharmacy Online team to discuss the contraceptive options available to you.
