Features
The Medela FingerFeeder can be used to administer small amounts of liquid to premature or à terme babies. It can be accurately determined how much colostrum, breast milk or supplementary feeding is given to the baby. Thanks to the soft silicone material, the device provides a pleasant feeding experience.
- Improves babies’ natural sucking behavior.
How to use
The caregiver attaches the FingerFeeder to a syringe, places a finger in the baby’s mouth and then lets the FingerFeeder slide past his finger into the baby’s mouth. Once the caregiver feels the baby try to suck and creates a vacuum on the finger, he squeezes the syringe so that some liquid comes out. In this way, the caregiver can stimulate the baby’s natural sucking reflexes.
