Medica Throat Tablets Strawberry is a lozenge for local action in the mouth and pharynx. It is an antiseptic and local analgesic. Medica Throat Tablets Strawberry is indicated in treatment of the symptoms of sore throat, red throat, disorders of the pharynx associated with irritation.

• In case of bacterial infection with fever, additional treatment is required.
• Medica Throat Tablets Strawberry does not contain sugar and is therefore also suitable for diabetics.

Ingredients

The active substances are: chlorhexidine hydrochloride 5 mg and lidocaine hydrochloride 1 mg. The other substances are: sorbitol, magnesium stearate, anhydrous citric acid, menthol, strawberry flavor and sucralose.

How to use

The recommended dosage is:

• Adults: 6 to 10 tablets per day.
• Children 6 years and older: 3 to 5 tablets per day.

Suck the tablet slowly into the mouth. Do not use this medicine for more than 3 to 4 days. After 3 to 4 days, does your complaint not lessen, or does it even get worse? If so, contact your doctor.

Warnings

Do not use Medica Throat Tablets Strawberry if you are allergic to chlorhexidine dihydrochloride, lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate or any of the other substances in this medicine. This medicine is not suitable for children under 6 years of age. Be extra careful with this medicine if you are taking other medicines or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Side effects

Very rarely, allergic skin and mucous membrane reactions, taste disturbances, a burning sensation on the tongue and severe allergic reactions may occur. Long-term use may cause browning of the teeth.
