Molaxole is a drug with the active ingredient Macrogol 3350, which increases the volume of stool by binding water. This leads to normalization of movement in the colon. The result is improved movement of softened stool through the colon and facilitation of bowel movements. The salts in the composition help maintain the body’s salt or water balance.
How to use
The recommended dose for constipation is:
1 sachet one to three times daily. The normal dose for most patients is 1-2 sachet per day. Three sachet per day may be necessary, depending on individual effect.
- Mix the contents of 1 sachet with ½ glass of water (about 125 ml).
- Stir until the powder is dissolved and drink.
- If you wish, you can add fruit juice or syrup just before drinking.
The recommended dosage for fecal impaction:
A typical dosage is 8 sachets per day. The 8 sachets should be taken within a 6-hour period, for up to 3 days if necessary. Treatment for fecal impaction usually does not last longer than 3 days. If you are using Molaxole to treat fecal impaction, you can mix 8 sachets with one liter of water. The solution can then be stored in the refrigerator.
