Neo-Golaseptin Spray is a drug against infections of the throat and pharynx containing two antiseptics: chlorhexidine and benzethonium. Neo-Golaseptin Spray is indicated in the symptomatic treatment of pharyngitis, ulcerated aphthous ulcers, gingivitis and candidosis, the prevention of those infections in patients with immunodepression, the symptomatic treatment of infections of the periodontium (supporting tissue of the teeth), as a disinfectant in procedures at the level of the periodontium and the prevention and resolution of dental plaque.
How to use
Always use Neo-Golaseptin Spray exactly as described in the package insert or as told to you by your doctor or pharmacist. For oromucosal use: 4 sprays, 3 to 6 times a day. If this medicine does not produce improvement after 3 to 4 days, it is advisable to consult a doctor.
Composition
The active ingredients in Neo-Golaseptine are: Chlorhexidine digluconate 20% 87 mg – Benzethonium chloride 4.35 mg. The other ingredients in this product are: Maltitol liquid (E965) – Alcohol – Menthol – Polyoxyl hydrogenated castor oil – Sucralose – Honey flavoring – Orange flavoring – Purified water q.s. ad. 10 g.
Warnings
Neo-Golaseptin Spray should not be used if you are allergic to any of the substances in this medicine or in children under 3 years of age. Avoid contact with eyes and do not swallow. As with most antiseptics, Neo-Golaseptin Spray should not be brought into contact with the brain tissue, spinal canal or middle ear.
Possible side effects
Like any medicine, Neo-Golaseptin Spray can have side effects, although not everyone gets them. Possible side effects include brown discoloration of the teeth and tongue, impaired taste, burning sensation on the tongue, drying of the oral mucus, swelling of the salivary glands, urticaria, rash, eczema, skin necrosis, and anaphylactic shock.
How to store
Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Store below 25°C. Do not use Neo-Golaseptin Spray after the expiration date. That can be found on the box after EXP. There it says one month and one year. The last day of that month is the expiration date.
