Indication
Nicorette Invisi Patch is used to:
- Relieve the withdrawal symptoms that occur when you quit smoking.
- Reduce the urge to smoke, allowing you to cope better with situations in which you would normally smoke.
Instructions for use
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this package insert or as told to you by your doctor or pharmacist.
Apply a new patch each morning to clean, dry, intact and hairless skin, such as on the hip, upper arm or chest. Alternate the area daily and never apply the patch to the same area two consecutive days.
- Wash your hands before applying the plaster.
- Cut open the bag as indicated and choose a suitable place.
- Remove half of the aluminum foil and avoid contact with the sticky side.
- Carefully apply the sticky side of the plaster to the skin and remove the rest of the foil.
- Press the plaster firmly with your palm or fingertips.
- Rub along the edges to ensure that the plaster adheres well.
Remove the plaster at night before bed and fold it with the sticky side inward. Wrap the used plaster in aluminum foil and dispose of it safely, out of the reach of children and pets.
Dosage
For heavy smokers (15 cigarettes or more per day):
- Use Nicorette Invisi Patch 25 mg for 8 weeks.
- Switch to Nicorette Invisi Patch 15 mg for 2 weeks.
- Then use Nicorette Invisi Patch 10 mg for another 2 weeks.
For light smokers (less than 15 cigarettes per day):
- Use Nicorette Invisi Patch 15 mg for 8 weeks.
- Switch to Nicorette Invisi Patch 10 mg for another 4 weeks.
Composition
- Active substance: Nicotine 1.75 mg per cm².
- Excipients: medium-chain triglycerides, basic butylated methacrylate copolymer, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film, copolymer of acrylates, potassium hydroxide (E525), sodium croscarmellose (E468), aluminum acetyl acetonate and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film, siliconized and coated on one side with aluminum, printing ink.
Storage
Store Nicorette Invisi Patch 15 mg below 25°C. Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Ensure safe disposal of the patch after use, out of the reach of children and pets.
