Increase the efficiency of your homemade mouth mask with these non-woven filters. The filters made of certified non-woven material offer breathing comfort as well as increase the filtration efficiency of your homemade mouth mask. Place one filter sheet in your mouth mask and you increase the filtering efficiency of your cloth mask by about 66%. If you place two sheets back-to-back in the mask, you will achieve as much as 85% efficiency, and that while your breathing comfort still remains good.

Such homemade masks and filter sheets are only intended to prevent cross-contamination between the wearer of the mask and other persons and objects. In other words, you wear it to protect others, not to protect yourself. That solution does not provide adequate protection against viruses, but only prevents spread via saliva particles. Indeed, homemade masks and filter sheets do not achieve the filtering efficiency or fit of professional FFP2 or FFP3 masks, designed to protect the mask wearer from the COVID-19 virus, among others. The manufacturer and supplier of these filters can therefore in no case be held liable if contamination occurs when using cotton masks in combination with the filter sheets.

Use Instructions

Once your oral mask is ready, simply slide a filter sheet between the cotton layers and you can wear your mask. Always wear the mask in places where social distancing is not possible or where many people come into contact with the same objects, such as in food stores, at the pharmacy or at the do-it-yourself store.

Recommendations

• Use the mask correctly and respect the rules of good hand hygiene.
• You can reuse the filter sheets after a high-temperature wash (70 to 90°C). The sheets can thus be washed at least three times and reused. Washing preferably in a textile bag. Shrinkage is possible, the filter structure does not change.
• The filters are not resistant to ironing. It is sufficient to let them dry at room temperature.
• It is advisable to change the filter every 4 hours in continuous use.

• After final use, the filter sheets should end up safely in your residual waste bag.
• The filters come in a bag of 10 pieces. Material to make your own mask is not included.
• The sheets are pre-cut to a size of 13 by 15 cm and are intended to be used with mouth masks made according to the approved pattern of the FPS Public Health.
