Nurofen for Children Sugar Free 2% contains ibuprofen. Ibuprofen belongs to a group of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Those drugs change the way the body responds to pain, inflammation and high body temperature. Nurofen for Children Sugar Free 2% is an orange-flavored syrup and is intended for the brief symptomatic treatment of fever and mild to moderate pain in children 6 kg or 3 months old and older.
Directions for use
Nurofen for Children 2% Syrup achieves its optimal effectiveness when taken sober or before meals. If your child has a sensitive stomach, it is nevertheless best to give Nurofen for Children 2% along with some food. Do not administer the medicine to children younger than 3 months or weighing less than 6 kg.
Method of administration
Press the dosing syringe firmly into the opening of the bottle, shake the bottle, fill the syringe by holding the bottle upside down and gently raising the plunger to the desired amount (see above). Invert the bottle and remove the dispensing syringe by gently twisting it back and forth. Place the end of the dosing syringe in the child’s mouth. Slowly push the plunger down. After each use, clean and dry the dosing syringe. The bottle is again child-proof sealed when a “click” is heard when turned back.
