Properties

XP Maxamum is a phenyalanine-free Drink Mix containing essential and non-essential amino acids, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and trace elements.

• To be used in the dietary treatment of phenylketonuria and hyperphenylalaninemia
• Age: from 8 years old + adults (also suitable for pregnant women).

Use instructions

The recommended dilution is 1 in 5 (e.g. dissolve 20g XP Maxamum in 100ml of water).
For osmotically sensitive patients, it is recommended to start with a 1 in 7 dilution

1. Add a small amount of water to the prescribed amount of XP Maxamum.
2. Stir with a fork until an even paste is obtained.
3. Add the remaining amount of water while stirring.
4. XP Maxamum is now ready to use XP Maxamum can be taken as a chilled drink. It can also be taken in the form of a paste.

Recommendations

The amount of XP Maxamum to be taken to cover the protein requirement (other than the phenylalanine requirement) depends on the patient’s age, body weight and general state of health. The exact dosage is determined and regularly adjusted by a physician or dietician. The prescribed amount should be divided into 3 to 5 proportional servings. The diet should be supplemented with calculated amounts of natural protein and other foods to cover the daily requirement of phenylalanine and other nutrients.
