OPSITE Post-Op is indicated for the treatment of acute, low to moderately exuding wounds such as cuts, abrasions, post-operative wounds and minor burns. OPSITE Post-Op is a unique post-operative dressing that combines the benefits of a moisture-permeable film with a protective and absorbent non-adherent wound pad and an easy application system. The specially applied adhesive layer of OPSITE Post-Op has REACTIC™ properties that respond to the presence of moisture, resulting in a high degree of permeability. OPSITE Post-Op is composed of two materials: a breathable OPSITE polyurethane top film and an absorbent non-adherent MELOLIN wound pad. The patented REACTIC™ film has a unique molecular structure with high air and water vapor permeability (of at least 10000 g/m²/24 hours). This allows the wound and surrounding skin to breathe, minimizes the risk of maceration and allows the dressing to be left in place for several days (twice as long as a non-woven dressing).
