Otrivine 1 mg/ml Nasal Spray is part of the group of medicines used in the treatment of the symptoms of nasal congestion. Otrivine 1 mg/ml Nasal Spray is indicated in adults and adolescents 12 years of age and older as short-term treatment (maximum 3 to 5 days) of the symptoms of nasal congestion in certain conditions such as:

• Nasal colds (non-allergic rhinitis (=inflammation of the nasal mucosa)).
• Hay fever and allergic rhinitis due to dust and mold, for example.
• Sinusitis (promotes the excretion of mucus).
• Inflammations of the middle ear.

How to use Otrivine 1 mg/ml Nasal Spray

Always follow the instructions on the package insert. The standard dosage for adults and adolescents 12 years and older is 1 spray in each nostril, 3 times a day. The time between 2 administrations should be 8 to 10 hours. It is not recommended to use more than 3 administrations per nostril per day.
