Properties
The organic tamanu oil from Physalis is a greenish oil with a thicker texture and a typical spicy fragrance. The cloudy oil is pressed from the fruit kernels of the calophyllum tree native to Asia. Tamanu has a traditional use in Polynesia and is popularly called “miracle oil” there for skin care of both young and old. Tamanu oil needs to be massaged in a little longer before it is absorbed. The oil is therefore highly regenerating and soothing for various skin problems, such as dry patches, minor wounds, eczema, sunburn, scar tissue and stretch marks. In addition, it supports blood circulation for heavy and tired legs.
Use
Use as a massage oil or as a care for the body and face, mixed with essential oils or not.
