Like all plants in the Cymbopogons family, the Javanese citronella (Cymbopogon winterianus) is an herb native to Indonesia that has long narrow leaves, linear branches and a linear inflorescence. Citronellas are large hardy herbs grown or found wild in tropical regions : Java, Sri Lanka … Its fresh, green lemony scent is very similar to that of melissa in whose place it is sometimes used.

2 drops 3 times daily on a neutral carrier (honey, cane sugar, vegetable oil) or diluted to 30% to apply on the skin.
