Properties
Thyme belongs to the Lamiaceae family consisting of more than 300 species. These plants are rich in essential oil and occur as herbaceous plants with small pale pink or white flowers. Linalol thyme can form homogeneous populations over limited extensive areas. In any case, the growing site of this thyme is situated at medium altitudes, between 500 and 1000 meters, characterized by less intense solar radiation, lower temperature and higher humidity than on the plains. Nevertheless, this thyme can also grow under very different ecological conditions.
