Properties

This evergreen shrub that grows near Mediterranean beaches bears pale green flower clusters that then produce reddish-black fruits. The bark is incised to produce the resin, called mastic, which is chewed to refresh the breath. On hot days in August, it literally fills the air with its very characteristic fragrance.

• Aromatic molecules: myrcene, pineene.
• Distilled part: twig.

Use instructions

2 drops 3 times a day on a neutral carrier (honey, cane sugar, vegetable oil).

• Oral intake.
• Use on the skin.
