R Calm Dimenhydrinate 50 mg is an H1 antihistamine. This medicine is indicated for the prevention and symptomatic treatment of motion sickness in children and adults, the prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting (except nausea and vomiting caused by certain cancer treatment drugs).
How to use
Dosage for motion sickness:
- Children 2 to 8 years old: 1/4 tablet at a time, up to 1 tablet every 24 hours.
- Children 8 to 12 years old: 1/2 tablet at a time, up to 2 tablets every 24 hours.
- Adults: 1 tablet at a time, up to 4 tablets per 24 hours.
Dosage for nausea and vomiting:
- Children aged 2 to 8 years: 1/4 tablet at a time, maximum 1 tablet per 24 hours.
- Children 8 to 12 years of age: 1/2 tablet at a time, up to 2 tablets per 24 hours.
- Adults: 1 tablet. Do not exceed 4 tablets per 24 hours.
Composition
The active ingredient in this medicine is dimenhydrinate. The other ingredients in this medicine are lactose monohydrate, corn starch, gelatin, microcrystalline cellulose, talc, and magnesium stearate.
Warnings
This medicine is not suitable for children under two years of age or for persons allergic to antihistamines. Furthermore, the use of alcohol should be avoided during treatment as it may potentiate the effect of R Calm Dimenhydrinate 50 mg.
Possible side effects
Possible side effects of R Calm Dimenhydrinate 50 mg include drowsiness during the day, dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, difficulty urinating, confusion or agitation in the elderly, and changes in blood.
How to store
Store R Calm Dimenhydrinate out of the sight and reach of children, at room temperature (15°C – 25°C) and protected from light. Do not use this medicine after the expiration date.
