Spidifen 400 mg tablets contains ibuprofen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory properties. In dental pain, meaningful pain relief occurs within 25-30 minutes.
Indication
Spidifen 400 mg tablets are used for pain relief in the following conditions:
- Toothache.
- Headache.
- Fever.
- Menstrual pain with no apparent cause (primary dysmenorrhea).
Directions for use
Always use Spidifen exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. The usual dosage for adults and children 12 years and older is:
- 1 tablet, followed by 1 tablet every 4 to 6 hours if necessary; a maximum of 3 tablets every 24 hours.
The product is not intended for use in children under 12 years of age. Take the tablet with a glass of water (200 ml). Do not use Spidifen 400 mg tablets for more than 7 days or in higher doses without consulting a doctor.
Composition
The active substance in Spidifen is ibuprofen (as L-argine salt). One tablet contains 400 mg of ibuprofen. Other ingredients are L-arginine, sodium hydrogen carbonate, crospovidone, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, sucrose, titanium dioxide (E171) and macrogol 4000.
Storage
Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use this medicine after the expiration date. There are no special storage conditions for this medicine. Ask your pharmacist what to do with medicines you no longer need. They will then be destroyed responsibly and will not enter the environment.
Possible side effects
Like any medicine, Spidifen 400 mg can have side effects, although not everyone gets them. The most common side effects are dyspepsia and diarrhea. Medications such as this drug (NSAIDs) may be associated with a small increased risk of heart attack or stroke. Edema, hypertension and heart failure have been reported in association with NSAID treatment.

- Not known: edema, heart failure, chest pain (Kounis syndrome), hypertension, allergic reactions,
