Strepfen Spray 8.75 mg is a medication used for the symptomatic relief of sore throat such as pain, difficulty swallowing and swelling in adults 18 years of age and older, for a short period of time. The active ingredient in Strepfen Spray 8.75 mg is flurbiprofen. Flurbiprofen belongs to a group of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). These change the way the body responds to pain, swelling and a high temperature.
How to use
Always use Strepfen Spray exactly as described in the package insert or as told to you by your doctor or pharmacist. Spray only at the back of the throat. Do not inhale while spraying. Do not use more than 5 doses (15 sprays) per 24 hours.
Dosage
The recommended dosage for adults 18 years of age and older is one dose of 3 sprays at the back of the throat every 3 to 6 hours as needed, up to a maximum of 5 doses in 24 hours.
Composition
One dose (3 sprays) contains 8.75 mg of flurbiprofen, which is equivalent to 16.2 mg/ml of flurbiprofen.The other substances in this drug are: betadex, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, citric acid monohydrate, methyl parahydoxybenzoate (E218), propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216), sodium hydroxide, mint flavor, cherry flavor, N,2,3-trimethyl-2-isopropylbutanamide, sodium saccharin, hydroxypropyl betadex and purified water.
Warnings
Stop taking Strepfen Spray Cherry & Mint and contact a doctor immediately if you develop severe forms of skin reaction such as blistering or signs of allergic reaction. This medicine should not be used by children or adolescents under 18 years of age.

Like any medicine, Strepfen Spray can have side effects, although not everyone gets them. Side effects may include dizziness, headache, irritation of the throat and nausea.
How to store
Do not use Strepfen Spray after the expiration date. Do not store this medicine in the refrigerator or freezer. Do not use this medicine for more than 6 months after first use.
