Strepsils Vitamin C are lozenges that have an antiseptic effect and dissolve slowly in the mouth. They are used to relieve symptoms of acute sore throat and can also be used as adjunctive topical treatment for laryngitis, inflammation of the tonsils and oral mucosa.
How to use
Slowly melt one lozenge in the mouth every 2 to 3 hours. Maximum of 6 lozenges per day (24 hours). In children from 8 to 15 years old, the dosage is one lozenge 4 times a day and in children from 5 to 7 years old, the dosage is one lozenge 3 times a day.
Composition
The active ingredients in Strepsils Vitamin C are 1.2 mg dichlorobenzyl alcohol, 0.6 mg
amylmetacresol, and 100 mg of vitamin C. The other ingredients in this medicine are blood orange flavoring, levomenthol,
propylene glycol, orange yellow S (E110), ponceau 4R (E124), tartaric acid, liquid glucose, and liquid sucrose.
Warnings
Strepsils Vitamin C should not be used in children under 5 years of age, or if you are allergic to any of the substances contained in this medicine. Consult your doctor if your sore throat persists for more than 3-4 days and/or is accompanied by fever.
Possible side effects
Some people may experience side effects such as hypersensitivity, abdominal pain, nausea, oral discomfort such as burning or tingling in the mouth and swelling of the mouth or throat, and rash. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you experience any side effects.
How to store
Store Strepsils Vitamin C below 25 °C and out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use this medicine after the expiration date found on the box or blister.
