The Urgo sterile plasters are suitable for the treatment of first and second superficial degree burns (blister) as well as superficial injuries (abrasions, cuts). The gauze contains lipidocolloid technology: a unique combination of hydrocolloid particles and vaseline particles. That composition relieves pain and promotes healing. The plaster does not stick in the wound and can be pulled off without pain.

Use instructions

In case of a second-degree superficial burn: initially hold the wound under cold water for 15 minutes to reduce the size of the burn.

In all cases:

• Clean the wound with an alcohol-free antiseptic, then rinse with water or a physiological serum.
• In the case of a burn, never use colored antiseptics such as eosin.
• Dry the wound with a sterile compress.
• Respect the blister as much as possible. After all, it forms a buffer against any infection. If the blister bursts open, disinfect it. It is not necessary to remove dead skin if it does not come off by itself.
• Remove the protective tabs and apply them to the area to be cared for.
• If necessary, cut the plaster to size using clean and disinfected scissors. Then cover the plaster with a second bandage, type sterile compress, and hold it in place using an elastic windel or a suture plaster.
• The use of a cream beforehand is not necessary.
• The usual duration of treatment is 5 to 6 days. The first plaster should be renewed after 24 hours, the following plasters every 48 hours.
